Who Built LoanRateCal.in?
LoanRateCal.in was built by an independent developer based in India. It is a solo project โ not a startup, corporation, bank or NBFC. It is not affiliated with any financial institution, government body or RBI in any way.
The site was built to solve a simple problem: most Indians planning a home loan or comparing bank rates have to visit 5โ10 different bank websites to get a complete picture. LoanRateCal.in brings all major bank rates into one place, auto-calculated from the RBI repo rate, so you can compare in seconds.

How Rate Data Works
Since October 2019, RBI mandates all banks to link floating-rate loans to an external benchmark โ primarily the RBI repo rate. Each bank publishes their spread over this rate. LoanRateCal.in uses these publicly available spreads to auto-calculate the current indicative rate for each bank.
When RBI changes the repo rate, our rate tables update to reflect the new calculated rates. This means you always see rates that reflect the latest RBI policy โ you don't need to visit each bank's website separately.
Important: The rates shown are indicative. Your actual rate will depend on your CIBIL score, employment type, loan amount and bank-specific credit risk assessment. Always get a formal rate quote from your bank before applying.
Editorial Policy
LoanRateCal.in is a utility tool, not a financial publication. All content is written by the site's developer based on publicly available RBI and bank data. We do not publish sponsored editorial content or paid rate listings. Bank "Apply" links on this site may be standard website links or, where labelled, affiliate links.
Interest rate information is updated manually after each RBI MPC meeting (approximately every 2 months) and whenever a major bank changes its published EBLR spread.
